The desktop app is the main workspace for project sessions, Codex chat, plans, skills, git review, terminal sessions, and video or voice context.
iOS companion
The mobile app connects to your desktop for session monitoring, workspace chat, project files, git changes, notifications, and voice dictation.
Model access and storage
Hosted builds use managed provider access. Private deployments can configure their own providers and keys. Sessions, plans, run history, skill metadata, and terminal logs are stored locally by the desktop app.
The app sends prompts and selected context to model providers only when you run AI features.
